Du lịch Ho chi minh city Vietnam là một thí nghiệm-và nó hiện còn- thì bây giờ đã có đủ những kết quả tốt đẹp để coi nó một cách nghiêm túc. Ðã qua đi những ngày khi người ta muốn biết việc áp dụng các nguyên tắc của du lịch sinh thái có làm cho du lịch trở thành chất xúc tác cho việc bảo vệ thiên nhiên và phát triển cộng đồng hay không. Rốt cuộc thì đã có nhiều chứng cớ rằng điều đó là đúng. Tuy nhiên cho tới nay, các ví dụ thành công hầu như chỉ nằm ở quy mô nhỏ.Du lịch sinh thái bây giờ đang đứng ở ngã ba đường. Ðể đưa du lịch sinh thái trong những năm tới tiến lên một cách thắng lợi, chúng ta phải thử áp dụng cùng một tiêu chuẩn đã đem lại kết quả trên quy mô nhỏ sang khu vực du lịch thương mại dựa vào thiên nhiên trên quy mô lớn. Ðiều đó sẽ khuyến khích ngày càng nhiều công ty du lịch dựa vào thiên nhiên trong khu vực tư nhân, đã sẵn sàng trở nên nhạy cảm hơn với các vấn đề của du lịch sinh thái, quan tâm không những công việc điều hành thân thiện về sinh thái mà còn mở rộng sự cam kết của họ vào lĩnh vực cam go nhất của thực tiễn du lịch sinh thái ngày nay-đó là sự thu hút cộng đồng một cách thành công.
